Downstream Records is a label dedicated to bringing you “electronica” in all its forms. Now concentrating on techno the aim is to deliver the best music we can, with both consistency and regularity.
Servent produces his third release on Downstream with this four-track techno EP, ‘State of Decay’ released on 12th February.
Following on from his recent electronica album ‘Artifacts of Life’, as well as the tougher techno beats of his well-received ‘Fragments’ EP, which was released in October, Servent aka Damon Vallero delivers these new tracks for the darker edges of the club floor.
Starting off with the relentless pounding rhythms of ‘Stateless’, ‘Derelict Sound’ follows with a deeper and darker tone, hiding jagged edges, before ‘Decay Zone’ mashes percussive beats into an audio assault for the feet and ears. Finally ‘Corrosion’ veers off into offbeat analogue mayhem crashing into everything around it!
‘State of Decay’ will be available in February 2014 from all good digital stores, and Damon Vallero will return in April with an EP on his other recently revitalised label, Electracom.
